Sometimes we need some time
To think things through
Before we’re really fine
And finally got a clue

Only then do we realize
What we desire
Instead of all the devious lies
That set off our burning fire

By then the breaking point
Has finally arrived
Now we’re able to anoint
Of what we’re deprived

No longer is there that pain
Or familiar panic
Which gives us disdain
Turning us into manic

For now our eyes have opened
So finally we see the light
And are no longer broken
With it becoming such a welcome sight

The message has been heard
Telling us what must be done

It was all a game
She was using me
Driving me mad insane
Teased into a state of misery

Just couldn’t get past that smile
Hypnotized by her precious charms
Like Jimi Hendrix waxing Voodoo Child
Thinking it would do no harm

Little did I know what it was all about
Just an endless game I could never win
Lost in a maze without any clout
Leaving Flex drunk off tonic and gin

Every time our eyes met you lit up the sky
Teasing and flirting the whole damn time
And all I was tripping damn you so fly
You could inspire any dude to rhyme

If I could just have you I’d go insane
Tension rising heart racing melting like ice
I’d wait all night in the pouring rain
Hoping to be together and watch the sunlight rise

Ya had that lovely sparkle in your eyes
Always twinkling a little extra for me
When I stared deep down they could never lie
Just like that you were my fantasy

The one and only who’d make sweet dreams come true
Bumping, grinding as I feel your skin so smooth like white Hershey’s
We’d be as high as the puffy whites in the sky that magically flew
Finally, you’d be my perfect squeeze as I dropped to my knees

It was all planned out in my head
Without knowing you’d vanish into thin air
By the time I’d discovered my heart had broken instead
Couldn’t go on searching and searching every where

But it didn’t matter where I looked
Could never seem to find your pretty face
Aware deep down I was forever shook
With time suddenly unimportant as I was lost in space

It was a game you played so well
Hinting that I’d finally win
Until that ringing from the alarm bell
Now I don’t even know where I’ve been

Thought once one Halloween I caught a glimpse of you
But only stalled before thinking no way
And all these days later I now think it’s true
No wonder I remain off track today

Praying and hoping one day we can meet again
When it’s about as realistic as me hitting the lotto
With my wings ready if it somehow happened
And if it did you’d be my winning ticket

“Misunderstood”

I’m not like anyone else you know
So don’t bother trying to figure me out
Far from predictable in this place
Like being on a different planet in outer space

As misunderstood as the weather
That runs wild from hot to cold
Suddenly with the wind blowing everything around
Gusting and creating a funky kind of sound

I’m like those stormy clouds you see up above
Floating wherever they desire without care
Rolling thunder and lighting up the sky
Ticking off strangers who curse wondering why

As misunderstood as mother nature itself
Freezing temps one day to mild the next
Almost as if going through its own mood swings
Who knew that it was so much like human beings

Not sure how this really became
Confusing like clear skies turning gray
Turning our moods from delight to somber
Telling us it doesn’t want to be bothered

As misunderstood as the ever changing sky
Going from puffy white to pitch dark
Like the bright happy sun becoming a sad moon
That’s who I am smile fading away into gloom

 

“Everflowing”

It’s awfully hard to tell you things

When all they do is play like a game

Flying around in my wild imaginative mind

Just once I’d like to let the river shine

Wondering if it could ever get done

Instead of backing out unloading the gun

Unable to release myself

Screwing up and asking for help

 

Everflowing in a way should always be

Everflowing and finally set free

Showing true colors we’ve always wanted

Opening eyes no longer feeling haunted

 

But here I am all alone

As the wind begins to groan

Meditating as a way of salvation

Escaping from the current situation

Oh the struggle it is just to get away

Wishing things went your way

Begging God please

As you drop to your knees

 

Everflowing like the calm wind on the trees

Everflowing on an early Spring day producing a nice breeze

No longer hiding behind a storm

Finally calm enough to reach the norm

“The Rising Moon”

Silent but looking as if it had much to say

Politely giving you piece of mind

Reminding you what makes it all worthwhile

Don’t disregard its presence or you’ll become broken

Ya might not think it but its vital that you stay

Taking you to a different kind of place

Where anything is really possible

Literally flying into unchartered space

No longer held to a different standard or responsible

Instead getting to choose a brand new path

Exploring the many differing dimensions

In a world without remorse or wrath

With whatever you choose grabbing your attention
Oh what you’d give to reach

Enjoying all the elements

With nothing ending soon

Its glow is like a laser light dance party

Where the fun never stops

So chill glide and party hearty

Raise the volume without fear of cops

No curfews bitching or moaning on this orbit

Just plenty of excitement where anyone can scream

And relax without the usual bullshit

Making you realize this is the best ever dream

Oh what you’d give to reach

With no worry nor gloom

“A Different World”

With mystery and suspense

That makes your heart race

 

Like discovering and opening a new door

This is one of a new dimension

Filled with unpredictablity and excitement

Something different which grabs your attention

 

As you walk on and explore this place

The anticipation builds

It’s written all over your face

 

You always pictured this different world

The many paths give you many choices

Which one shall you choose as your diamond pearl

 

Is it the one to the extreme right

Or could it be one somewhere in the middle

That takes you completely out of sight

 

It makes you feel high as the sky

Fully aware it’s like a dream come true

One that you hope never dies

“A Mystery”

It’s all just a mystery

Sometimes I wish I could be somewhere

Creating a brand new history

Without any care just a whole lot of cheer

 

Finally feel like somebody again

Instead of defeated in this dull place

There’d be some place where I’d win

Rediscovering my smile and happy face

 

With so much more to believe in

Making everything feel alright

Like going from ice cold to warm a new season

Suddenly escaping eternal darkness for glowing light

 

Meeting lots of cool people with plenty to do

Exploring all that’s out there in this paradise

Instead of sitting around knowing the plain truth

Finally no reason to feel down which would be nice

 

It’s all just a mystery

Where I am at the moment

Wish it could be ancient history

Those who talk to me sure know it

 

Sick and tired of having nothing to get excited for

Feel like Bill Murray’s character in Groundhog Day

No wonder I sit and stare at the floor

Without much idea of what to say

 

This place takes something out of me

It can be quite hard to explain

Going quickly from glee to misery

Like nice weather to stormy rain

 

Lately I just don’t really care

Cause I’m empty inside

Feel like getting out of here

Maybe it’s time to run away and hide
