It’s Memorial Day and many of us are celebrating the three-day weekend with barbecues, parties, etc. I used to be really into it always getting together with buddies. Whether out here or Point Pleasant, it was always fun. A great time.

Maybe in the midst of all the chaos, we forgot what this holiday is supposed to be about. This country was founded on principles. Many that have long been forgotten. All I know is without the hard work and true dedication of the courageous men and women who sacrificed so much for our way of life, we wouldn’t even be here. A big thank you to all the soldiers, policemen and firefighters who lay their lives on the line everyday.
