This is inspired by the cold weather here and how I truly feel.

“Cold Before The Storm”

It’s all around you in every single way
You look up to a dark gray cold sky
Aware that this is going to be one of those days
As you wait for the bus the brisk air brings a tear to your eye

You stand there chattering jumping up and down
Staring at the bus schedule while breathing in the cold air
Despite the chilly tense feeling you don’t even frown
It’s like the cold weather has toughened ya without any fear

You’ve stood here before waiting with much floating around your head
It’s as if the chilly winds no longer bothered you in this deserted place
Instead it livened you along with those icy clouds making you smile instead
Cause you knew what was coming growing in anticipation was your face

It was the cold before the storm
That made you feel good inside
It was the cold before the storm
With nowhere for the snow to hide

These days are what you looked forward to most
Where you’d hop on the bus meet up with friends planning it all out
You’d all get out early go snowboarding sledding and watch marshmallows roast
No wonder you were so excited knowing what was coming about

It’s what ya’ll lived for with these cold stormy days so carefree
With nobody telling you what to do raining on your party parade
Tossing snowballs in every direction giggling and smiling with glee
Then working together to build the most memorable snowman masquerade

Enjoying the time spent while piling up even more puffy white snow
As late afternoon soon turned dark with everyone still having a blast
It’s what you all loved just having fun with lights above shining like glow
You all didn’t have to say it just nodding on how days like this could never ever die fast

It was the cold before the storm
That gave you a chilly smile
It was the cold before the storm
Where you couldn’t wait for it to last a while

These are the best kind of days which never ever go bad
Warming everyone’s hearts taking our minds off daily stress
Turning into a wonderful winter wonderland where good times are had
Where smiles and laughs never go out making ya’ll feel so blessed

Not a damn thing on a day like this could ever take away
It’s that special feeling when we all feel young at heart
Dancing and rolling in the snow making this the best sorta day
With everyone relaxed so cool and playing their part

It’s funny how you dreamt of this beautiful scene the night before
And now it was a reality making you appreciate it all
You always wanted these fun filled days more and more
Which makes you believe the guy up there really heard your call
