Magic Johnson knows a thing or two about winning NBA championships. The former Hall of Famer who led the Lakers to five titles had plenty of harsh criticism for how his team has performed thus far against the Celtics in this year’s NBA Finals. As most know, it’s the 11th meeting between the historic clubs and first in 21 years. Boston has won eight of the previous 10.

With the Celtics leading 2-0 and the series shifting to Hollywood starting tonight for hopefully the next three, Magic gave some excellent insight into why they were in an 0-2 predicament. The Celts have been the more aggressive team shooting many more free throws while also outhustling the Lakers getting more rebounds and loose balls. LA’s refusal to close out on Paul Pierce and Ray Allen from three-point range hasn’t helped the cause. They’ll need to be much better in all facets to make this a series.

We’ll see how they respond in a little over half an hour on ABC.
